Here are some links to recordings by Janet on Youtube:

24th March 2020:

1) "Mothers Day in Self Isolation" was written after Mother's Day (in the middle of the night) and recorded the next day.  You'll hear it's to the tune of The 12 Days of Christmas.  I think I was missing some indulgent cake and chocolate eating, which didn't happen, due to no visits !!   It's meant to be humourous, I hope it will give you a smile.  Sarah Millican, by the way, is a stand up comic from the north east who said, "You know you're really depressed when you start eating trifle with your hands", which made me fall about,  but you probably have to hear her say it !

2) "Do Not Carry a Heavy Heart" was what was asked for when we last met, and I thought I'd video it as if I was teaching it to you in Settle.  I'd welcome some reaction to this, I haven't taught in little chunks because we've been through it already, but I could teach it more slowly if necessary.  There are two bits of video for this:

3) "Cold and Haily Night" - this is a Devonshire version of "It Rains it Hails".  Given that we can't hear how it sounds with all the parts in, I don't know how successful or satisfying you will find this, let me know.   It is a nice tune in itself though.

4) "Sing About These Hard Times" - by Peggy Seeger - a nice chorus to sing along with, and I could send some harmonies that were written for it by Sandra Kerr, if you would like some.
